Parts are installed in exchange for the two very soft rubber parts in the shift lever mechanism and significantly reduce the play in the shift lever.
The original rubber ring around the ball joint and the black rubber part between the shift rod and the ball joint are designed for comfort thanks to their soft material and deformation ribs, but this results in a lot of play and the shifting process feels “spongy.” This is where our product comes in. The parts are made of rubber with a hardness of 95 ShA, which significantly reduces play and makes the shifting process feel more direct. Vibrations on the shift lever may increase slightly.
The vehicle must be accessible from below for installation.
When replacing the part, we recommend also replacing the dust cover, which is often torn and can be found in our shop.
